Mine was less than 15, and I don't buy them often. To try an shed some light on women who do spend ridiculous amounts of money on a handbag...I know women fiercely compete with other women, if she's got a nice new hairdo, then they've got to get to the salon themselves. If there's more than one woman who works in your office who has one of THOSE bags, then in order not to feel second best they put themselves in credit card debt to get one.The next two reasons may seem to contradict each other. One the one hand a woman who buys expensive things, maybe trying to make it known that if you want to get with her, it will require you taking care of her high maintenance needs, and only the men with the funds need apply. On the other hand, in order to catch a man she needs to look like she's as good as any Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, and when you go out together she'll be done up to the 9's. Being a down to earth reasonable girl doesn't catch the eye as well as a girl who is strutting her stuff in designer boots, and the cutest tops, with the hippest bag, all her nails done, jewelry and hair just declaring she is a beautiful and delicate flower, but powerful in her own right.Atleast that's what I think is going on, but paying gorging markups on brand name items has never made sense to me. |
