Default Wobble Chess Set

Oh man, I want to get this chess set so bad, it looks so awesome. Check it out:

Quote:
The Wobble Chess set, designed by Adin Mümma, 2006, is made of beautiful walnut and maple hardwood. The pieces are rounded and weighted to fit the concave landscape of the board, giving a quiet action to the intense game.

Additional Information:

* Design: Adin Mümma / 2006 / Canada
* Materials: Walnut, Maple and Chrome Plated Zinc
* Dimensions: 15" Length x 15" Width
arango - good design since 1959.

That is amazing! I like how each spot is like a bowl. Can you just slide the peices along, or what? And what exactly is going on in that last picture? ROFL!

Hmm, it looks pretty cool, but in the past I've found that these kinds of gimmicky chess sets aren't always the best when it comes to using them.
I suppose it comes down to how stable the set is, if the table it's on gets knocked or disturbed, if the pieces go wobbling all over the board at the slightest knock then IMHO this would have to join a long list of novelty chess sets which aren't much use beyond their "coffee table ornament" value *shrug*
