the luxury of a gym? Would situps, pushups, and arm curls work? Is a "six pack" possible?

Those things probably help, they can't hurt. Or, go buy a set of hand weights. They're pretty cheap at Target. Or Wal-Mart, or wherever you go.

The best thing you can do is run. Build up to 10 miles a day, three days a week.

Default Running and Hot Yoga

I swear by it. The core muscels you build from the yoga (not to mention good company), and then the stamina from running...

Absolutely. 100%. In fact push ups and sit ups, and dips and pull ups are prefect for toning your upper body and abs. Weight lifting is really not good for you. You actually want to do exercises which use your own bodyweight. It is the healthiest, and most effective way to tone and build lean muscle.

Get the perfect push up and a pull up bar...or go to a kids playground and use the monkey bars. Seriously. It's all you need.
