Hot off the press!!! Fed just cut the Fed Funds rate by .25 to 4.25%

Anyone here actively trade stocks?

The dow just dropped about 100 points on the news, let's see how it pans out though.

Hmm, that's weird that the market acted negatively to the cut so far. I guess they were expecting a half or more cut?

I trade occasionally, but I pulled out of everything a few months ago when things were getting pretty bad with the credit and house markets and all. Things have been looking pretty positive lately though. I think I'm going to wait until the new year, see how things are going and then probably jump back in if I like what I see.

I have thought about investing it stocks, but it all sounds way too complicated. I dont even know what the heck a fed rate cut is...
