Beaches - Negril. (the Best beaches in Jamaica) Negril has the best sand there and the town is not overrun by indigent locals plus Beaches there is really setup for kids.

Or if you have the money think about renting a house on an island. Try luxury link for some unusual travel deals. This can be awesome if you have a big group.

Charter a sailboat (or catamaran) with a captain and cook in the British Virgin Islands. This will blow you away. About $10k-16k for a week (including meals) less airfare.

There's always Disney (you can spend as much as you want here), the rest of Florida can be mainly sand and sun and massive amounts of tourists. South Beach is awesome if you have no kids and you are wealthy and in you mid 20's and especially if you are very flexible with your morals. Remember that on the Panhandle it gets cold but the beaches are decent - nice area if you're into rednecks. The southern gulf coast is full of old snow birds in the winter. The atlantic coast gets cold in the north and full of portugese man of war in the winter along with rip currents. In the summer its HOT but not as hot as Georgia.

THINK GLOBAL with your only limits being war zones or places full of terrorists or rebels. Granted an unexpected coup d'etat can make your trip even more memorable (I know this for a fact!). But there are plenty of great places around if your willing to spend the money - the one thing I will caution you about before you get too excited about some places - Check out the airfare and what its going to take to get there. It may take 3 planes to get to some islands in the Caribbean. Its probably worth it but you have to factor that in (like getting to Mustique - major lifestyles of the rich and famous place). Good luck!

Default Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

I recommend the Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico through Luxury Suites International. They are pretty affordable and it is a family vacation spot, something you were looking for. There is an ocean view which is amazing and the best part of the resort is you don't have to share bathrooms. Other than that, the location is convenient 30 minutes from the airport and just being able to get away with the family. For more info you can give them a call at 1-877-574-4685.
